SOCCER SEASON SATURDAYS!! 

How was your second Saturday of games??  The coaches are showing up early to put up goals, cleaning up the trash after games is great, the referees don't have anymore butterflies in their stomach, and the players love their snacks!!  :-)

There are some new things that we will be trying this season and one of them is an equipment swap.  Did you see the posters in the bathroom explaining what this is?  We will start taking equipment for this swap on each and every Saturday until the season is over.  Once we have all the equipment that you want to turn in, we will advertise when the swap will take place.  One of the other things that we will be doing is selling tickets to raffle off two games of "Wamego-opoly".  The games will be given to the winners at the end of the Spring season in May.

We have talked to the City about practicing on our playing fields but since it was a HOT summer, they are going to double their seeding plans.  BUT we can practice in other areas at the fields.  If you'd like to try it, practice over next to the tennis courts or over there between the drainage ditch and the ball fields.  If you do this, let us know how it worked out!! If you practice there, make sure that we keep the trash picked up so that we're not told that we can't practice there.

Everyone did a great job of making sure that their jersey plastic made it to the trash cans and no players were caught playing in the bathrooms.  Thanks for all your help and enjoy this next Saturday off.  There are no games for this up-coming Labor Day weekend.
